Developmental Screenings
Developmental screenings are important to assess every child's development. 1Before2 is IDEAL, 1Before5 is ESSENTIAL to ensure your child will have the best possible outcomes when they enter the school district. We encourage every parent to have every child screened prior to their second birthday, whether they have concerns about their child's development or not. The sooner that developmental concerns are identified, the quicker services can be started to help your child overcome the concern.
Our developmental screenings are for children age birth to 5 years old and are conducted by highly qualified Early Childhood Specialists and include detailed looks at vision, hearing, cognitive abilities, social/emotional development, speech, language, gross motor skills and fine motor skills. To schedule a screening for your child, contact one of the centers listed on the HOME page. All screenings are free of charge.

Early Intervention Services
If concerns are seen during a screening, your child be referred for further evaluation. This in-depth evaluation will determine whether or not your child does have some sort of disability or delay. If these evaluations show your child qualifies for services, he or she will then begin receiving Early Intervention Services from our highly qualified staff. Your child may receive special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and/or social emotional services depending on the needs outlined by the evaluation. Our caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff will walk you through the entire process step by step and can answer any questions or assist with any concerns you may have.
The evaluations and early intervention services are provided to your child with no out-of-pocket expense to your family. Please note that private insurance and Medicaid may be billed for some services, but there will still be no out-of-pocket expense to your family.
